The closest airports to the resort are either London Heathrow or London Gatwick airports.
Both are located approximately 20miles (32km) from Chessington World of Adventures Resort.
- Heathrow Airport: Arriving at Heathrow, means you have easy access to the London Underground network via the Heathrow underground station on the Piccadilly line. This takes you into central London (zone 1). Make your way to London Waterloo and board the South West Train to Chessington South. Both Heathrow and Chessington South are within the Travelcard (Oyster Card) zones, which can be purchased at any station. This is the most cost effective way to travel around London and includes travel on the tube, train and red bus services. Note: this can be a timely journey and will take over an hour to get to Chessington World of Adventures; for a faster option read more about the Heathrow Express, which takes you directly to London Paddington Station.
- Gatwick Airport: Adventurer’s arriving at Gatwick can make use of the train station within the airport terminal. This station connects directly to Clapham Junction. To make your way to the resort change at Clapham Junction to the South West Train line towards Chessington South station. The journey takes an average time of 1 hour 15mins.
- London City Airport: Arriving directly into London City Airport has its own Docklands Light Railway (DLR) station that can be used to transfer to a tube service that connects at London Waterloo for services to Chessington South with an average journey time of 1 hour 10mins.
- Whilst it is possible to access the Resort from both Stanstead and Luton airports, due to limited connections we recommend contacting our friendly Chessington Holidays team on 01303 490 037 (calls charged at local rate)
